Monika was born in 1981 and raised in Mölnbo, 80 km south-west of Stockholm.

After studying nature-science in Södertälje, she moved to Norway and stayed for two years, studying photo and working.

In the fall 2002 Monika moved to Sundsvall to study photojournalism at the Mid Sweden University.

She spent one semester as an exchange student in Bucharest, Romania. In the beginning of 2006, Monika has her NA in photojournalism.

Monika’s most precious belongings are her camera, a snowboard, her record collection and a sewing machine.”
